Port City Raceway
Port City Raceway is a 1/8 mile high banked clay oval speedway.
Port City Raceway was originally known as Ru-Jo Raceway.
Since the track first opened, modified midgets (micros) have been the focus
of
Port City Raceway. Modified midgets are similar in construction to
3/4 midgets. All of the classes at PCR utilize a 600 cc motorcycle engine
except for the Junior Sprint class. All of the classes except the 'non-wing'
class utilize top wings similar to winged sprint cars.
Weekly racing at
Port City Raceway has furthered the careers of many
young drivers including Andy Hillenburg, Daryn Pittman, Shane Stewart, Darren
Stewart and most recently, Brady Bacon.
